bfg a/t to pro comp xtreme a/t's! 33" or 35"??

i currently have 5 285/70/17 bfg a/t ko's with about 3500 miles on 4 and 1 brand new...(stock 17"alloys and possibly all 5 tires will be for sale in the near future...inquiries welcome).

going to be going with the AR Mojave wheels in 17X9 and possibly going with pro comps xtreme all terrain tires due to a great deal. i'm stuck between the 305/65/17 and the 35x12.5x17?

i currently have Donahoe front and rear setup with spidertraxx spacers, body chop, and no rub anywhere. can i get some feedback from members running the two different size tires? i love the look of the 35" but have some serious concers about rubbing in the fenders.

I don't have answers for what you're asking, but from what I've been reading, 35"s are tough on the CV's. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm just ordered 33"s, personally.

Sorry I'm not much help.

35s are cool, but you need to consider the additional stress on some of the components. Also, regearing may be needed to regain the power loss.

I'll be putting on some 33 Pro Comp ATs. Great tires.

i have heard that 35's is really hard on the parts 33s will only lose you a inch and is much more reliable, and its easier to justify warranty parts if they do break. My thought would be choose a better line and you wont miss the inch.

Re: bfg a/t to pro comp xtreme a/t's! 33" or 35"??

I've had my pro comp extm ats for over 20k miles. Anyone that's driven with me knows I DRIVE my FJ. I'm not much of a crawler, but I've flexed out front and rear and had mild full tuck rubbing. FOr the faster stuff no issues either. That only prob I've had with CVs is using (trusting) a AP "ultra super CV slicing link". I also run chubby bump stops as well....

yeah...ur 35's are the whole reason i'm in this dilemna in the first place! let me ask you this, what are you running a 17X8 or 17X9 wheel? and with what offset and backspacing if you recal.
