Re: Toyota's Special Service Campaign (SSC)--60D For 2007 FJ Cruiser
Thanks TMS_USA!
My vin and dot falls in the SSC-60D range..
wonder if I will be getting my letter since i am in Canada?

I must be crazy...I keep missing where it says the DOT number affected. I see the VIN range (which I am in), but not the DOT number. Too much scanning is making my head spin...

Re: Toyota's Special Service Campaign (SSC)--60D For 2007 FJ Cruiser
There is a huge issue developing. I have no other source to inform except you. If you have a more effective source for me, let me know. I have a new unit with 1150 miles on it. The drivers seat is already showing significant wear in the right seat pocket area. I showed this to my dealer and he noted it on a service order. I am 6'1" tall and 200 lbs. I am careful when entering and existing the seat due to many other complaints from other owners re this problem. I do not carry knives, chains or other items on my belt and wear dress clothing most of the time. The truck has never been off road. This is completely absurd in a new vehicle. This seat will be trash in 20,000 miles. I am sure that Toyota will address these issues as they surface on an individual basis. However, I think it would be wise for them to solve this now in the immediate future, if they continue to put this crappy cloth into the new units they will end up replacing thousands of them. There is absolutely no point in replacing these seats anytime with the same fabric cause it will wear out also only perhaps after warranty expires. That is going to alienate a huge following that this vehicle has gained and cost billions of dollars in sales. Please pass this on to those who can be instrumental in addressing this problem ASAP. Thank you in advance...
