Re: Narrow 34" Tire option for Stock Wheels!

Great, thanks for the info. I have been looking for narrow 34" options now for the last view weeks. I know Toyo offers this size in the MT and AT. The MT's are so heavy though and I am afraid they may rob too much power on the road. The Toyo AT's are hard to get excited about. I think the grapplers should do the trick. Does anyone know if there will be any issues with clearing the upper control arms using them on stock rims?

Our guide doesn't show lifted applications for the FJ but in looking at the stock sizes and options for plus sizing. My guess would be that they will fit if you are running a 2" lift or more but you'd need to test fit.

Thanks for letting us know. I too prefer the taller, narrower tires. I'm glad we finally have some options.

Re: Narrow 34" Tire option for Stock Wheels!

I just realized they are "E" rated so very stiff sidewalls. I wonder why they went "E". Those are typically for trucks that tow or haul heavy loads (i.e. 3/4 & 1 ton pickups).

Re: Narrow 34" Tire option for Stock Wheels!

Yikes.....E rating means these will be super rough in cold weather....Too much sidewall for me....But the size would be cool even with just a level lift.

Re: Narrow 34" Tire option for Stock Wheels!

i have the nitto terra grapplers in the 295x70x17 size on stock 17 inch alloy wheels and fit fine with OME 3 inch lift with medium springs front and rear.... these will be very nice and if did not already have new Nittos would definately get them...

the nitto sidewalls are very stiff.....hence strong and puncture resistant and also handle well when aired down. Yep they are heavier but in cold weather I dont notice a difference....they are still radials afterall and not bias ply tires so no worries there.

great tires...even in average mud.
