How much to mount tires on wheels bought online?

Anyone have a rough estimate on how much it would cost to mount tires on wheels and balance them?

I bought the tires and wheels independantly online and would like to have them installed tomorrow. A friend of a friend who works at Discount told me it would be $120.00 to mount and balance them but that seemed a bit outrageous.

I heard costco was cheap but then I read that they no longer will mount tires on wheels which aren't purchased there.

Any ideas?

Mount them yourself with a tire iron. It will be a labor of love... well, lots and lots of labor.

I got tires mounted and balanced for $20/tire at Sears. One of my local Toyota dealers is cheaper though.

Re: How much to mount tires on wheels bought online?

$80-100 is typical for a set of 4 these days for mounting and balancing. Some places like to charge more if the tires and/or rims are "oversize".

Integrated rear hitch receiver through a modified All-Pro rear bumper, Demello front bumper with Smittybilt XRC8 winch, Bilstein 5100 adjustables, Toytec rears with ProComps, Rasta front and center skids, Trail-Gear t-case skid, All-Pro high tuck tailpipe, Total Chaos Lower Link Skids, Harbor Freight hitch mounted disposable backup light, SCUBA mod...

The going rate in the SF Bay Area at Discount Tires is $20 to mount and balance tires and, if you buy the tires through them, re-balancing and rotation is free for the life of the tires.

I paid $108 for 5 tires, mounted and balanced. I had to go to a place that could handle large tires

Did some calling around this morning and Walmart seems to be the cheapest I could find.

They charge $3.50 a tire for mounting and $5.00 a tire for balancing so $8.50 total per tire.
Not bad at $42.50 for all 5 tires.

Around me (Northern VA) most places refused to mount/balance a mud tire.

I eneded up spending $110 for the mount and balance.

Walmart will only mount stock size tires, nothing larger.
