34s vs 285s or 295s???

Can someone tell me why a 34x12 or 34x10 would not work vs a 285, 295 or 255????

Trying to get the biggest 33 or 34 vs going to 35s and doing body mount chop....I know there must be experts in here that know this...

Re: 34s vs 285s or 295s???

What do you mean "would not work"? I have 34X10.5 (LTB) and a set of 305X70X16 (MT/R) and neither of them require bodymount chop. Granted, my wheels are moved forward (caster), but it still works. The LTBs struggle a bit more on long grades, but not bad enough that I feel I need to regear.

Re: 34s vs 285s or 295s???

Thanks you guys.. Mountain man, I have 16s..So your 17s must bring your 285s to 33.7? vs a 16 that makes a 285 32.7...guessing

FJamming can you post a few pics?? I am trying to figure this out..Thanks inadvance...

Here is my rig currently...

Nice looking rig Chris.

You can click on the "G" on my sig and just browse through the various pictures. I have pics of either sets of tires-even stock.

How are those TG's treating you? Did you notice much in the way of power loss and mpg going to the 285/75/17? I am ordering them this week. . . I think.

Thanks for the peak FJamming...

Not everyone can claim they have had Marlin holding their bumper for them so they don't roll it...Pretty cool!

WOW, I dont know how you did your math but that's very untrue.
They're 32.8 x 11.2, And 32.8 is if your lucky. No way your getting 34" out of a 285

The 34 LTB's run really small, I've seen Fjammings rig with those tires and IMHO it looked like my 33x10.5 BFG's were bigger.
