Anyone running 275/70/16?

I've been going back-forth in the past months trying to decide between another set of 265's or 285's, currently have 265-75-16 on my kmc enduro's, but they're a tad smaller than stock. I just put a set of 5100's on the front, set @ 1.5" of lift to level the truck it, which it is now... Which brings me to tires, I'm leaning toward Yokahama Geolander, and just last night discovered the 275-70 size. I know a lot of people are running 285, but they're 15 pounds + heavier per tire, and I drive a lot of highway, and don't want to suffer any worse mpg.

I know a lot of you guys stuff the 285's on w/lifted front, but I'd rather not and really interested in seeing if anyone has used this size. Pics would be great!

265/75/16 is the stock size if you have the offroad package. The 275/70/16 will be a little wider but will actually be less in the overall diameter of the tire.
31.64 VS 31.15 and 7.82 VS 7.57 in side wall height. My point, while the 275/70/16 will be a little wider it won't be as tall as the 265/75/16. If you don't care then go for it and be sure to post pics!!!

Edit: Just noticed that Nitto has their Trail Grappler M/T in a 285/70/16 size. Sweet!!!

Re: Anyone running 275/70/16?

well ****... I was going off a 265-70 tire on the sizing charts instead of a 265-75, which is over an inch taller. I need something w/more circumfrence, so looks like 285's here I come.... Dang, will 285's fit in the rear w/stock setup? The last thing I want are tires that rub, and I don't want to chop up my body mounts.... But I'd like a bigger tire

The 285/70/16 is a near match to the 265/75/16 in both diameter and side wall height. 31.70 vs 31.64 overall diameter and 7.85 vs 7.82 for side wall height. The tires are almost exactly the same size with the 285 being a hair taller but much wider than the 265. Looks to be a good size for some one who wants more width without going to a much taller tire than stock. Some one else please chime in here and correct me if I'm wrong.

Might have to look into a set of the 285/70/16 Nitto Trail Grappler myself!!!

Comparison chart between the 265/75/16 and 285/70/16 so you can see what I'm talking about.

Re: Anyone running 275/70/16?

I meant 285-75-16 tire..... Will those rub on a stock rear, 1.5" or so lift on the front?
