Anza-Boreggo / Laguna Mountain - 4/8 through 4/11/2009

Well we thought we were going to see a lot of wildflower at our first stop, Anza-Boreggo, but I think we just missed the show by a couple of weeks this year.

The Cactus was blooming well though. I have never seen the Ocotillo's this good.

The water crossing at the willows in Coyote Canyon was as deep as I have seen it as well.

Heading up one of the waterfalls in Coyote Canyon on the way to Sheep Camp.

We got the best camp site at the Palm Canyon Campground, space #104.

It was cold and very windy. Titan wore his hat and jacket.

Titan chillin in the tent.

Exploring Carrizo Creek.

Another beautiful day in Anza-Boreggo (Heading toward Fish Creek).

There were a few wildflowers to be found if you looked close.

The trail winds though some very narrow mud canyons.

On Friday (Claudia's Birthday), we headed up to Mt. Laguna (near Julian).

This is a shot from Mt. Laguna looking down on the Anza-Boreggo Desert.

It was raining, snowing, hailing and sleeting, but we still managed to have a great time.

Sitting around the camp fire in the snow.

Dinner cookin on the grill.

A Woodpeckers food bank.

Some snow on the ground in the early morning just before we packed up and headed back home.
