Instead of being able to go to the Summit.
$1200 - Check to hospital so we could have my wife's surgery there
$175 - Registration to Summit (donated to charity)
$30 - Cancellation fees to Ridgeway State Park (Donated to Colorado)
$$$ unknown amounts to doctor, anesthesiologist, techs, etc
$$$ unknown amounts for prescriptions
$$$ more to the hospital (after the insurance wiggles out of as much as they can)
Missed the raffle where I know I would have won at least something
$800 - for a used pop-up + $850 for new canvas + $120 for new fridge (these don't really count since we can use it next year)
having to miss the Summit and stay in the Texas heat

On the positive side
My wife has been in pain for the last few months and that has been corrected and she's on the road to recovery.

priceless
Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys!!! We'll see you next year!!!

cheers,

dale

Happy Trails!

Too true, too true! No regrets, really.

Hope your pooch is OK, sounds scary
Abbott recovered nicely as soon as I paid the bill. I swear the whole thing was a publicity stunt. He got more attention at the summit than the guys calling out the raffle.
