Nice pics Gary. I'm going to plop your copies of your links over in the 2013 photo threads so this thread can concentrate more on 2014.

I'm checking with the boss about this and I'll let y'all know. Haven't been to Moab since 2007 and have to get to the Summit for once! And I haven't had a mancation in quite some time.

Re: MOAB Before The Summit - 2014 Edition

Count me in for Sat., Sun., Mon., and Tues. One question I have. Do people usually run trails all day Tues. and stay in Moab or do things finish up early and everyone heads to Ouray and stays there? I'm game either way. Just wondering how that's typically worked in past.

2007 Silver Fresco Metallic. SCUBA Mod. ICON Stage 1 w/ Light Racing UCA's. Full Ricochet HD Skid Plates. Shrockworks Sliders. Midland 75-822 Hand held CB w/ 4ft. Wilson Antenna and Bandi mount. Ruff Stuff LCA mounts. TTO Adjustable LCA's. Rocktek Shock Mount Skids. Rocktek LCA Skids. Boztek Rear Diff. Skid. Tuffy Center Console. Ironman Snorkel. Dirty Parts Dual Battery Kit. Rocktek front bumper with Warn 10k winch/ synthetic line. Rocktek rear bumper. Much more to come.

Re: MOAB Before The Summit - 2014 Edition

Regarding Tuesday. We normally do a decent days worth. Some people head out Tuesday to get to Ouray by night time as they have other committments. Some just stay and leave Wed morning. Depends on schedules and how you booked your hotel.

Right. That is a drive best done during daylight as well because the deer population all seems to move to the road after dusk.

Depending on when I head over, I "might" take an offroad route that will either go across the Uncompahgre National Forest to Montrose and down to Ouray or take something that'll drop us into Telluride and then come back via Imogene Pass.

Re: MOAB Before The Summit - 2014 Edition

James, I would be really interested to go that route from Moab to Ouray ...but you have to leave early to set up right?

Not necessarily. If I did decide to head to Ouray after our Monday trails I could just pass on the route to someone else to lead the way. Everything is on maps so it's just a matter of making the right turns.
