^^ I did a cost analysis from Portland and that's about what I came up with, close to 5 large. I chose to buy mods instead.

Re: how much $$$ did the Summit cost you?

$3000

3000 miles

10 nights hotel

25 meals x 2

A bunch of crap bought

0 mornings slept in

3 arguments about routes vs time of arrival

3 nights driving WAY past dark to make our destination

30 times I had to remind Mrs. K that the FJC has a 5th AND a 6th gear

3 truly excellent meals

1,000,000 breathtaking views

11 days of not being at work

7 days at work since getting yelled at for being behind

1 realization that I'm changing jobs soon

What size tires will fit on my FJ?

The owner's manual for your FJ is right here. <--- This is a link. Many answers to your questions are contained within.

Re: how much $$$ did the Summit cost you?

I refuse to figure actual costs!

I stayed at the KOA to cut costs...

The fellowship, views, trails, seeing other modded FJ's and the town was well worth any monetary expense!

We'll definitely be back next year!!! For our seventh Summit!

cheers,

dale

Happy Trails!

Re: how much $$$ did the Summit cost you?

At about $1100 total
$150 for KOA camp spot for 5 days.
Two nights at hotels on travel to and from summit $120. Slept in my FJ on an air mattress at KOA($17)
Brought rations in a cooler and ate sandy's and breakfast bars and summit provided meals
$100 in raffle tickets

I also bought some skids from RCI at their vendor booth...but that cost is not included in this assessment

I think I came out ahead including my raffle winnings. I definitely would go back even if it cost a few grand. It was a really great trip!
