The Patrols are heavily used there by the military and police, and they look unbreakable. I wonder why they never marketed them in the west? I had an 87 Pathfinder that I absolutely loved, the thing was a tank and I was quite reckless back then and it survived.
Patrols are pretty popular in Australia & New Zealand as well. They're a solid Toyota alternative & very similar in many ways. The 4.8 straight six in the Safari models is legendary.
