G'day Mate,
Are you planning to DIY a new TC?
if not there are several shops down under that specialise in Yoda transmissions, depending where you are located, i can recommend a couple...

Hey Baz, I have it in the shop getting checked over, and that's what the mechanic told me was the problem, he couldn't give me a price untill he got it looked in to. I was just seeing if anyone knew a ball bark figure
G'Day Mate,
OK, no probs.
Wont be cheap, that for sure.
TinTin in Newcastle has had his transmission rebuilt twice now, can't remember all the details... its all detailed on FJCC....
Depends whats faulty and needs replacing, might not be the whole TC.
But if its the whole kitnkaboodle, coupla grand should cover it....
Cheers

I don't know about you guys down under, but it was about $1,100 USD in labor to pull out and put back in the transmission here in New England (had to have my flexplate replaced).
I'd venture a guess that a torque converter is about $450? I bet you're looking at close to $1,500.
What is the symptom you are seeing that indicates a possible bad torque converter?
