Re: 115v power outlet

You can charge like 8 phones with it. 115V at 400W max means approximately 3.5 amps worth of something. Check whatever items you want to run for ratings.

Re: 115v power outlet

I don't plan to run much, a set of string lights and phone chargers. We use a cooler and grill for camping but I was wondering what others plug into it.

Re: 115v power outlet

I'm not overly impressed with that outlet. Even plugging a cell phone charger seems weak. I notice quite a difference when I use my bigger inverter with the same charger.

Suck it up... it's only -40

Re: 115v power outlet

I have my frig plugged into the power outlet, but only as a secondary source. A house battery addition is mighty handy for most of your power needs. I don't hesitate to run my frig for a day or two without running the engine, and cell or camera charging using 12v is a freebee. You can even purchase led light strings and operate with 12v.

Re: 115v power outlet

I have put a few high efficiency CFL flood bulbs into clamp on work lights and illuminated the area to pitch camp on a moonless night.
Clamp em right onto the roof rack tubes and it lights up the area like a prison yard on escape night.

Oh, What a feeling...
