Re: Complete Roof-Top Tent Comparison

Based on my research, I really like the Roof-Top-Tents Expedition Series Tent
It is almost identical to the ARB and Eezi tents, for hundreds of dollars less.

Re: Complete Roof-Top Tent Comparison

I am more than happy to sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag. With or with out a tent. Why not throw a 12" thick blow up mattress up there and call it good. Mattress = less than a $100. Roof top tent = $800-1500. Juzt my 0.02

Re: Complete Roof-Top Tent Comparison

How about the Maggiolina AirLand medium?
That is what I have, and I reviewed it a few Fridays back.
https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...views-ton.html

It is less money than the Extreme model.

Re: Complete Roof-Top Tent Comparison

Doo not buy the ARB. It is a rip off. But, i freakin LOVE IT!

Buy CAMPING LABS!

They are the exact same tent, material, mattress, design (kind of.. just a little different).

Most of these tents are all made by the same manufacturer.

ARB
Camping Labs
Mombasa car top tent
Open Sky Rooftop Tents
Eazy awn

I have no problem sleeping outside, in fact, I've built my own shelters many times. I just saw a need in the forum and tried to fill it.

If I run out of other things to add to my FJ, It would be nice to have one of these.
