So.....I went into work and brought home a dewar of liquid nitrogen. Flash froze the steaks and all is good!

Then I made instant ice cream with the rest of the liquid nitrogen. Then I froze various things around the apartment and eneded up hammering in a nail with a frozen banana. weeeeee!!!!!

This is pretty funny!

I'm kicking myself for not buying the one I found at a garage sale in Bend now! Shoot...

Uh, make sure they're on the TOP rack (I learned the hard way, and one of them fell down on the heating element from the lower rack; what a melted mess...)

Turn the bags inside-out, lay them flat in the top rack, and place something across the bag to keep them from blowing around and filling with water...

Re: Food Saver machine for camping food

You'll be surprized at the number of things you will use it for.

My favorite is to vacuum pack the spare roll(s) of toilet paper. They get really small and later puff back up to original size when you need them.

I also will vacuum pack a spare pair of socks for my pack when backpacking and only open them up if I need them.

My FJ Goal: a daily driver with the ability to handle snow covered roads and any forest/mountain road. So far so good...further.
