Re: Dometic Slide Attachment
I installed a 3/8" thick aluminum BaerTrax cargo tie-down plate in the cargo bay, and that provides lots of options for securing anything and everything. The cargo plate mounts at the four OEM tie-down points with M6 bolts. I didn't opt for a slide for my ARB fridge, and secured it directly to the L-track lugs on the plate using an ARB fridge tie-down strap kit.
Longer sections of aircraft L-track were added to the cargo plate to extend the range of tie-down points. I also fabbed an extruded aluminum frame (using the 80/20 framing system) to hold two Scepter water/fuel cans. This is secured to the cargo plate using turnbuckles, and is rock-solid.
The BearTrax plate is nice, but expensive. Any sheet-metal shop with a brake that can handle 3/8" aluminum could fab a similar plate. Buy some L-track and spend some time drilling and tapping, and you should be able to end up with a functional plate and save substantial $$.
I would be reluctant to drill holes in the floor if there are alternate, equally secure options like using the original tie-down points.
