So just to verify... we are meeting at Buckingham Park at 10am right? Is it on the right side of the road about a 1/2 mile or so up Lefthand Canyon from 36?

Yes sir.

I'm going to try to find a sealed sample container to put some of that ORVW 23 year in for you. Should be a good post run drink once you get home.

Oh man I'm already excited. I'll try to not get frustrated when everyone is just enjoying themselves and I want to go home already.

Just don't open it up and smell it until you get home. That will make you instantly want to drink it.

Heh. You must think I have that thing... oh what's it called? Oh yeah. Will Power.

My partner just got his hands on a bottle of this:

E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon Whiskey

Looking forward to trying that one out too. Not as much as the VW though. Not even close.

Nice. I liked the E.H. Taylor release but no matter what variation of the BT rye recipe, they just taste too similar. Everything from BT to Blantons tastes too similar to justify the 50+ dollars per bottle. I'd buy a 20 dollar bottle of BT.

That's because they use the same yeast in everything they make. Yeast creates a lot of the flavor of the whiskey. Well, of course you know that though if you are a fan of the Four Roses.

My biz partner is going to pick up the Small Batch 4R so we can try it side by side with the Single Barrel. The difference should mostly be the yeast.
