Re: 20 Ratcheting Wrenches $49.99!! Deal Alert

I grabbed the $79 set as well, the wife had a $50 gift card from last X-mas she forgot about, so spending $30 on these was an easy choice. Thanks for the heads up on this one Smalldog.

The guy said they were the exact same wrench.
Not sure if I agree with this statement. The quality of US steel ranks among the best in the world....Taiwan? Umm there is a difference.

Ya, wasn't going to bet the farm on it either. That's just what the dude said. I felt a bit better driving home with the Cmans tho.

Well before going crazy and snatching I checked, these are $70 on Amazon with Prime shipping or Sears wanted $58 or so with shipping for the GW set. So I just added to my tool wishlist on AMZ and put my credit card back in its holster. Seems like about a $12-15 discount.

Thanks for posting though, it brings light to a good set of tools.

Taiwan, Republic of China, one notch up
Actually, most Taiwan manufacturing is on the level with US and Japanese manufacturing during this day and age. Not the same as mainland China at all.

Agreed. Taiwan manufacturing is top-notch. Also a great democratic partner to the USA.

Yep, it is where most Snap-0n Blue Point line is manufactured. It isn't where it is made, but how.

Even in China, it's what the customer (the mfg company) specifies.

If they specify high quality, they'll get it, even in China.

Re: 20 Ratcheting Wrenches $49.99!! Deal Alert

Okay, well it's obvious not every one is going to agree on where they prefer their products coming from. I obviously, like everyone else in this country, purchase items not made in the US. It does not escape me however that manufacturing in the US, puts US workers to work. If you don't want to pay a few extra dollars for known supply lines, then don't.

You get what you pay for.
