Re: Speed limiter delete

what year is your FJ , I have a unichip for a 2010 that I no longer need ( installing ucon and urd supercharger ) .

History does not always repeat itself, sometimes it clubs you in the head for not listening the first time .

Itís a 2011. But am Europe based currently. May try to pick one up here.

And no, not lowering the car, just trying to not have the engine cut out on the Autobahn... (100mph is normal cruising speed here

Re: Speed limiter delete

I reached 120mph, just after going through a guardrail and plummeting off a mountain rd! No wonder they call it "terminal velocity"!
Then I woke up.......suggest you do the same!

Re: Speed limiter delete

I have no issues with high speed and FJ but haven't taken it to the max yet lol. I think it handles great at high speed even over washboard lol. I don't think there's a speed limiter though( but could be wrong ). The only speed limiter I could find was the brake pedal.

There definitely is. Get it to 110mph and the engine automatically cuts out and kicks you back to probably around 80, rather violently too.

Definitely not cool on the Autobahn where a sports car could approach you with 150mph+ from behind and will not see any brake light coming from the car...

Re: Speed limiter delete

Stay right and enjoy the drive. I can only imagine how the FJ is screaming at those speeds.

After Monday and Tuesday even the calender says WTF

Re: Speed limiter delete

I can't find any current information in the time I have to search (all the links are broken in the previous threads I found) so fozzymark's unichip offer is worth a look.

And here's a video of an FJ doing 117 mph. (NSFW expletive about 11 seconds in.)

Are you sure that something else is not going on? There is no violent power kick back on mine, it just hits the ceiling and won't go anymore.

I was thinking the same. My 2007 start just ceiling at 175 km/h.

And about the Unichip. The speed limiter delete is an optional feature, maybe it is possible to install afterwards too.
