Would love to hear specifics!

I donít know how to really qualify it, I only had it off road once prior to the tune. It just seem to always be in a good torque curve when I needed it at Windrock. I never felt like I didnít have the power to get up anything. It just powered up everything I threw at it so I was happy.

If you mod the airbox - you will achieve the same peak power with or without the remap - see dyno chart in this thread by CORY

If you mod the airbox - you will have a significant low rpm torque loss which carries a bit into the midrange, the remap completely fixes this giving you 18- 22hp gains across a wide rpm band starting from low rpm. This is the only way known to cure this torque loss.

Of course, there are all the benefits of the auto trans tune as well, an extra 250rpm of engine speed to play with as well

I have confirmed with two local dyno shops they can meet the requirements. So once you send me the tune it will just be a matter of schedule.

What about a snorkel? I do not have one currently, but I'm interested in what effect a snorkel may have on the remapping.

No effect, the tune will still do its magic. No hinderance at all

Hey Tim what would it cost to build a new map if I add a new high flow exhaust system? You’ve probably already covered this I just can’t remember.

Iíll be receiving /installing mine soon, hopefully this week and will probably start a new thread to cover this for the 07-09 folks. I have a TRD CAI, BAM catback, 4.56 geared. The real fun for us will start in Moab
I found a side affect of the new tune this weekend. In the deep fresh sand itís so much instant torque it slammed the FJ down to the frame twice, lol. Iíll have to run it in 4HI from now on with the Sprint Booster off in the sand to stay on top, haha so much torque on the bottom in 4Low without traction control I canít stop it from spinning down.

Gonna be so much fun in Moab testing this thing.

I would appreciate some details on your install. I'm still not exactly sure how this works.

The exhaust side of things isn't adding a lot at this stage. However, if you are running the highest octane fuel and have the airbox mods implemented - then yes there is a tune upgrade we can write for you.

We would like you to test it properly on a dyno before taking it into the wilds. We want every customer to have complete engine safety
