The exhaust side of things isn't adding a lot at this stage. However, if you are running the highest octane fuel and have the airbox mods implemented - then yes there is a tune upgrade we can write for you.

We would like you to test it properly on a dyno before taking it into the wilds. We want every customer to have complete engine safety
Sweet, I donít foresee it happening before August but you never know.

This sounds like a terrific upgrade and I am considering it. One thing I don’t understand well is how can it be that you can notice a torque increase in the 18-22 hp range? Can this small addition actually be felt? Thorn661 says he notices quite the increase in sand and I just don’t understand it. But hey... real life results matter right???

G'day Mike,
I could be off track here, but my understanding is that the 1GR has always had more power and torque inherent in the engine.
Yoda just kept tune very conservative, as they do.
so when its fully remapped and the A750 incorporated the true / real power gain and torque is released...
Yoda tuned the 1GR for best economy ...only...and hid / lost alot of its power and torque to make it more attractive to sell ....
mpg is the sales tool of choice ..so the better they can claim ...more sales....
The Raptor tune gives you the horses and torque the engine always had....

Cheers
Baz

I do get what you are saying by unleashing hidden power. But what I donít get is how an increase of 18-22 Hp can be felt and sensed when hitting the gas.

G'Day Mike,
Its is less about the HP gain, and more about the Nm gain...
The torque gain/curve is where you really feel it, not so much the actual hp.
Coupled with the change in shift points it lets the gears run longer before moving up, giving more low end grunt....
This is a lay persons description... of the actual driving feel ....
Cheers

Mike
Power is torque x RPM.
Look at the curves and you see more torque down low. Peak power at high revs is less interesting to me than low-mid range torque, which is what this tune appears to give.
That's why a roots style supercharger is generally better for our purposes than a turbo or centrifugal supercharger.

I can feel it much easier than most probably because Iím running 4.88ís and a Sprint Booster. Even with those mods to pass someone I was manually down shifting but since the flash Iíve noticed that I no longer need to and power pulls smoothly all the way to red line and in fact builds dramatically toward red line.

Re: Raptor ECU Flash

Also I’m still amazed by the shift points, my rig would stick between gears not knowing when to shift now up shifting is smooth and seamless as well as down shifting. That really is the biggest difference to me.

Totally agree, the secret/magic is the shift points....
Coupled with the extra low end grunt....
