Re: aFe high-tuck exhaust owners...

I was told that I was the first person (Sept 08) to get the redesigned exhaust as the previous version had this problem. I told them about it and they were interested in the issue, and said they were going to look into it. I also mentioned how close it was to the charcoal canister.

I took mine off as I did not care for the sound. Otherwise itís a nice exhaust.

Re: aFe high-tuck exhaust owners...

As I said in other threads, I didn't install the High Tuck myself. Hey, gimme a break, it was August and a 100 degrees out at 430 in the afternoon and I'd already worked 12 hours outside. However, the guy at the exhaust shop that installed it said he had to modify the design a bit. Like everyone else said, he bent the OEM hangers. The AfE exhaust has been on for 4 months and I haven't heard any rattles coming from it or any other issues.

Re: aFe high-tuck exhaust owners...

I just ordered one on Monday. Should I be worried, or maybe just cancel the order and wait for them to figure it out.

Opinions?

Curious...
Why not just cut the stock exhaust tailpipe so it's out of the way?

I still say that it's a good investment.

Gotchya. That's valid. I thought it was just a high-tuck tailpipe, not a muffler too.

You'll be going from a 2 1/4" exhaust to a 3" exhaust plus you have the high tuck section.
