Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?
Had a blown driver's side shock so Wednesday I removed the front spacer lift (measured 1.5") and using the existing stock springs, installed Bilstein 5100's on the 4th notch. Ride quality is soooooooooo much better. Bumps and potholes are no longer jarring. I feel like I'm ready to race baja compared to how it used to be. Now I want to replace the rear shocks.

After notch 4 and 1/4" ToyTech spacer on driver side:
Driver 37 5/8
Pass 37 3/4
Driver Rear 38 7/8
Pass Rear 38 5/8
Drove around, went to get an alignment today at Les Schwab and they tell me they won't do it because the cv boots are leaking a little. Not torn, the band just isn't tight. I asked him if he would tighten it and he said it was their policy not too. No clicks, binding or other noises. I think I may just tighten the boot end for now.
Also said inner tie rod ends on both sides were bad. I didn't feel any unusual movement but then again I don't do front end work all day. Going to take it to a different shop tomorrow for a second opinion and to see if they will align it as is. If I need to replace additional parts I will do it myself later with Toyota parts or upgrades.
*Update. 2nd shop said there were absolutely no issues and performed an alignment.
