Squats on the new baja rack

Testing integrity of having one of two bolts holding it in. Doesn't look right lol

James, whatcha going to put on the rack?
Looks good, I only saw my naked BajaRack for a few minutes before the dealer put my Maggiolina on it after taking off the factory rack and tent.

@Corey I'm stealing your rig setup lol. Pretty soon you'll have another doppelganger running around. I'm leaning towards a Maggiolina(when i can afford it). I like the well thought out design on the curved shell, aerodynamic and functional. I'm still looking at other companies but my end goal is a RTT after I finish suspension. Still on stock suspension right now as fun as it is, I'm tired of bottoming out and it's showing its age at 120k

He he...
There are so many tents on the market now, but I still like the Maggiolinas the best.
They sit lower than the ones you have to unfold, and the bedding stays in place.
Sure they take up the whole roof rack, but I do not mind.
And they do not have as much room as the foldouts do, but mine has been great for the girlfriend and I.

Yes I mounted my Rigid Duallys just like the picture that was shared. Much cheaper than LabRack! (Though the Labrack one would look super cool, and you wouldn't have to worry about the shakiness of the Dually when it is mounted the cheap way.)

Bet if you bent a 'U' shaped piece of metal and connected it over the Dually to the other mounting hole it would be way more sturdy. Stop any flexing or shaking.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Oil change and added a lovely K&N filter to the stock airbox (boy, do they oil those things, jeesh). Then drove to the coast. Feels great! Brought along some MAF sensor cleaner along just in case any of that oil flies off onto the sensor...probably an unnecessary precaution.

I was hoping to get one before my trip up the PNW this month, but I have to wait. Good things come to those who are patient right?? lol

Edit: I was into the first video you posted. And that second one didn't disappoint!!

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Had a blown driver's side shock so Wednesday I removed the front spacer lift (measured 1.5") and using the existing stock springs, installed Bilstein 5100's on the 4th notch. Ride quality is soooooooooo much better. Bumps and potholes are no longer jarring. I feel like I'm ready to race baja compared to how it used to be. Now I want to replace the rear shocks.

Before measurements:
fr driver 36 3/4
fr pass 37 1/4
rear 38.5

After notch 4 and 1/4" ToyTech spacer on driver side:
Driver 37 5/8
Pass 37 3/4
Driver Rear 38 7/8
Pass Rear 38 5/8

Drove around, went to get an alignment today at Les Schwab and they tell me they won't do it because the cv boots are leaking a little. Not torn, the band just isn't tight. I asked him if he would tighten it and he said it was their policy not too. No clicks, binding or other noises. I think I may just tighten the boot end for now.

Also said inner tie rod ends on both sides were bad. I didn't feel any unusual movement but then again I don't do front end work all day. Going to take it to a different shop tomorrow for a second opinion and to see if they will align it as is. If I need to replace additional parts I will do it myself later with Toyota parts or upgrades.

*Update. 2nd shop said there were absolutely no issues and performed an alignment.
