Ummm, that looks a little...uhhh, interesting?

Heh. We call it the shifter condom. For covering the knob.

Seriously though, looks funny but super helpful in winter cold.

What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

How about this for my second post!

Installed kind of a "hybrid" ICON stage 1. I bought the components at different times and should have just bought the entire ICON stage 1 setup, but live and learn. ICON front coilovers, with ICON rear springs and Bilstein 5100s. I will add the ICON VS shocks later when they go on sale .

Thanks to Mark at Metal Tech for the great service and pricing!

Installed a dash cam and a USB outlet.

Forgot how "bendy" you have to be to clean 12V work.
And have a black belt 12th dan in soldering stuff in place without melting everything else or setting the truck on fire - or prematurely shrinking the heatshrink...

How is the ride compared to stock? My FJ is up there in miles and will need a change from stock soon.

Great so far. Very minimal body roll and brake dive, which really improved the handling with the heavy ARB on there. It's firm, but smooth.

Sweet! I've also got an ARB front bumper and that brake dive is pretty rough.

My girlfriend knitted this cozy for our Ellis Precision shift knob. In the winter the metal gets untouchable cold. Now it is warm and cozy. I highly recommend making one. If anyone wants, I can share the Ravelry link. Easy to make in a night if you are knitting-inclined.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Nothing glamorous today - changed the engine and cabin air filters. Engine filter was no too dirty. Cabin filter was quite dirty. Almost 4 years old & 22k miles.

This is a quick and easy job, and not too expensive. An easy DIY maintenance item.

It's the little point on top that makes it extra funny.
