Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I'm not sure if this is a TO my FJ or WITH my FJ post, but it's kinda both.

I did a thing today - I needed to get my motorcycle to the shop I trust ( Moto and Motor ) which is 30 miles away for the end of year maintenance and tuning so it's ready first thing in the spring. Part of why I bought an FJ, was to be more self-reliant. Being able to load the bike on the carrier, take the FJ somewhere and unload the bike; or pickup the bike if I have mechanical issues (knock on wood - none in 11 years), really helps me be self sufficient. This being the first time I've strapped the bike down and taken it on the carrier - I don't think I've ever driven more like a granny in my life!

If you are referring to the RainX, I have been using it for years now. On long road trips, you can see an orange buildup around the window, but it washes off, and the paint is fine...
I use VooDoo Blue fluid with Rain-X Additive , can only find at Walmart . No streaking and it doesn't show on my FJ .

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Got the SightLine wiper blades installed. This may be a "Calm down, Francis" moment, but I'm excited about the new wiper blades. I didn't like the ones I had because they looked rickety and full of holes. The SightLine are thick and solid with the little Toyota emblem on them.

Silky smooth.

And if there was any question the rear blade needed replaced, here's my hand after replacing it.

Added the side sun visor assembly to my 07.

A Dremel is really overkill for cutting off the tabs, all you need is a razor blade. (Thereís no hole in the 07 headliner for the tabs, so unless you want to punch the headliner just cut them off.) Lay the razor flat and it pushes right through the soft plastic, giving you a cut that is flush enough for what you need.

Toyota of Dallas had the best price that I could find.

The parts are:
FJ Cruiser Visor Sub Assy Right Side (74303-35020-B0)
FJ Cruiser Visor Sub Assy Left Side (74304-35020-B0)

Mount them with the pivot bar at the top.

I always assumed that Toyota rear wiper blades were for looks only. Maybe for waving at the people behind you!!

I had no idea these existed and now they are on my "must have" list. Thank you!
