Got the SightLine wiper blades installed. This may be a "Calm down, Francis" moment, but I'm excited about the new wiper blades.

And if there was any question the rear blade needed replaced, here's my hand after replacing it.

A little vinegar (white if you have it) wiped along the contact edge does wonders for cleaning the rubber and a crystal clear wipe on the glass

I always assumed that Toyota rear wiper blades were for looks only. Maybe for waving at the people behind you!!

I tried wiping my rear with it and it didn't work well

I put a set of 285/70/17's on tonight up from the stock 265's.
What brand and model tire? How do they fit? Any mods to front end? BMC, UCAs, spacers?? I'm looking at 285's.

Thanks,
Lee

Added the side sun visor assembly to my 07.

A Dremel is really overkill for cutting off the tabs, all you need is a razor blade. (Thereís no hole in the 07 headliner for the tabs, so unless you want to punch the headliner just cut them off.) Lay the razor flat and it pushes right through the soft plastic, giving you a cut that is flush enough for what you need.

Toyota of Dallas had the best price that I could find.

The parts are:
FJ Cruiser Visor Sub Assy Right Side (74303-35020-B0)
FJ Cruiser Visor Sub Assy Left Side (74304-35020-B0)

Mount them with the pivot bar at the top.

Good idea!

There's gotta be another solution as all our white vinegar goes to pickling.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Spent 90 minutes on, in, and under it. Since this was the first oil change I did on it, I took it slow and had a few pauses (Toyota filter wrench didnít fit what was on there but my pipe wrench didnít mind helping out).

Now everything is familiar and I donít have to worry about if the guy in the pit had a bad day. Next time Iíll just click open the valve, change the filter with the right wrench, and fill Ďer up. Maybe 15 minutes?

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

We were on a road trip from Florence SC to Asheville NC where we stayed a few days. We were getting ready to go to the Biltmore House and gardens when I heard the crunching, grinding sound... Since I didn't want to drive the 238 miles back home with a bad bearing I bit the bullet and went to the local Toyota dealer, Fred Anderson Toyota early the next morning. Well, both left and right bearings were shot, moreso on the right, so I had them both replaced. Quite pricey, but the dealership got me done with no appointment by 2 pm. Hey, they had "free" shuttle service, deluxe lattes, and cookies... LOL!!! On the way home I was quite surprised on how smooth the FJ ran. I had gotten used to the slight vibrations and noise, not paying attention to the cause.

In my younger days I didn't fix anything until I couldn't turn the stereo up any higher to cover the noise.

Cleaned the front glass inside and out more thoroughly than I ever have before.

I got Kumho Road Venture AT51. The suspension is completely stock, no BMC. The wheels are factory 17" aluminum with no spacers. After 2 days of driving I have had no rubbing. The tires have a very good rating on Tire Rack so I figured I'd give them a try. $158 shipped from Jegs on Ebay. I plan on putting a 3" lift on shortly also.
