Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I removed the XM radio from it. I want to listen to music, not a yakking DJ. They say “commercial free”. That’s a load of bs. They are always having commercials for programs on other channels.

Good riddance. Back to my CDs.

Looks good but I think you need to adjust them to be a little longer (no threads are showing in the pics). Did you compare them to the stock length at a minimum?
Thanks.

Yes, in a side-by-side comparison of the distance between the pivots points, they were the same length.

Also, I believe if they are lengthened (by exposing threads) that will tip the pinion angle further downward from stock. The +2" springs have already altered that angle downward. When I do the rear UCA's, I can adjust out to correct the pinion angle. I believe I'm correct here, but open to other opinions (based on fact, of course!).

That's not even so bad. The thing I can't stand is that all the damn commercials are on at the same time, so then you have to wait like 27.4 minutes to get back to music or comedy(which I prefer).

reinstalled the drivers side trim piece to the dash after breaking 2 clips. Best part was the dealership telling me you can't order just the clips and wanting me to pay $288 for the whole trim piece. Called them back an hour later with the part number for the clips and got to talk to the same guy
That's priceless.

Assuming you get good cell phone data reception in your area, I recommend Spotify premium. Truly commercial free, you can listen to a "radio" channel, whole albums, or create your own playlists. You can even download songs to listen offline.

I don't work for Spotify, I just appreciate their product.

Added a new dual USB port to the left side of the steering wheel. Wired it in with an "add-a-circuit".

I did the exact same thing! I also installed a wireless charger cell phone mount on the left hand side as well!

Gotcha I think the Metal Tech ones are a bit shorter body wise and require adjustment prior to install .
