I completed my refreshening job on the roof rack I scored from E.J'sF.J. (Thank you kind Sir!!). Looks good as new with the Rustoleum Bedliner on it. I was missing 2 rubber plugs and thanks to the forum discovered I could just run to Lowe's and use Hillman 3/8" Nylon plugs. Worked fantastically. Just have to find the time after my work weekend to get it installed. Then I can install the Baja Rack drop in basket I got from Joabmc (Thank you kind Sir!!)

Also got my FJ back from getting the roof sprayed with Line-x. Love the new look. My wife said I was like a kid in a candy store just beaming with excitement at the site of her. To top it off, the final bill was a couple hundred less than what I expected. I told the gal at the register that wasn't the number we discussed and asked if we need to make sure, she said no we are good.

I had them spray all the white that was on the FJ. Inside the door jambs, back of rear door, under rear window, etc. To me, a lot of work. Was verbally quoted $550 for all that jazz. Was verbally quoted $375 for just spraying the exterior roof. Todays bill was $350 plus tax..... Gonna double check to make sure I dont owe them more coin, really happy with the work. Twas a good day.
All that and we don't even get a pic or two....

No prob. I dunno about most people but removing interior is pretty daunting when thinking about it. But in practice, like baz mentioned, Yota is pretty good about it being simple. When I get a good weekend, I'm going to remove the whole dash to document.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I finally reinstalled my front bash plate after it sat in my kitchen for a few months, had to buy new hardware to mount it as the 2 front bolt holes are stripped out. I just ran a slightly smaller bolt through the frame crossbar and put the nut and washer on the other side of the crossbar. (I had an extra nut so I put that on there too to avoid loosening of the bolt. )

Also went and picked up a new nut and bolt for my rear panhard bar from Toyota as one of the bolts is seized and will require cutting to remove so I can install my new panhard from RESZ Fab.

Also finally removed my front Baja Rack wind deflector so I can repaint it and apply a new decal! The paint and clearcoat were chipping away so I wanted it to look fresh and new again. Some of the old hardware was rusted too and required vice grips to remove. So I found all new hardware to make life easier next time. Used paint remover to get the original paint and decal off. Looks like they did black paint, the decal, and then clear coat over that. So I may do the same.

Things are coming together!

At the sPod headquarters with John transferring the 3 way function of the LP9 to the sPod. Both fantastic products and good people. Install coming right up

I agree, Iíd hate to break a plastic trim piece trying to pull it out. Iíve pulled some of the interior apart for wiring, but will be pulling more apart for sound deadening and wiring for future mods. Looking forward to your ďdocumentaryĒ
