Just wanted to share after looking at a few cb antenna mounts I decided to make my own, took some scrap metal I had and about 30 min and didn’t have to spend 30-40 $ on a mount. I cut and modified the plastic cover, wanted to leave it on to hide the bare metal underneath.[/QUOTE]

Tha looks good and if you have the tools you don't have to spend money I'm not sure if the performance it's the same of one from the store

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Today is the day my Kings and new Front LCAs go in. I`ve been watching videos on how to replace LCAs and it doesn`t look to bad. I`m really sore from working on the truck and the house ( im on vacation LOL ) but I got to get this done. Hope its not an all day project. I`ll post up some pictures when I`m done.

Hopefully the pins for cams on the LCA’s drive out, they can be a pain if they give you trouble.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Bought 10m of red and 10m of black 0 AWG for my wiring redo.
Long weekend this weekend so I guess I know what I'm doing now.
I made the decision that I need a radical overhaul of my wiring at last battery replacement.
It's too cramped on the drivers side of the engine bay, so it's all moving over to the passenger side in the nice big space between the Airbox and the firewall. That makes my light bar wiring shorter, the compressor wiring much shorter, and will tidy the wiring up for my HID headlights and allow me to run the new circuits I want into the cabin down the passenger side (power outlets and a 1000w 220v inverter).
Everything is subject to a low voltage cut off and of course, the switches are all wireless.
The high current cables will run along the DS fender, high across the firewall and along the PS fender to the relays, cut off, aux fuses. The 2x high current lines have 150A fuses on the battery terminal.
I'll post pics etc when I'm done.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

All right I got my Kings back on and its good to see my FJ with all of it height back. Now the bad news. I tried with everything I had and I couldn`t get the two bolts free on the LCA next to the ball joint. To the point that I nearly broke my breaker bar and pulled the FJ off the jack and jack stands. Also Found out Firestone will not install my parts I bought. They want to buy their own and charge me list price for them to the cost of $1100 F them. I also have a couple shops up here that wanted to do the same. I finally found a shop up where I live that will put the LCAs on that I bought tomorrow at 7am. They are only charging me $320 and that includes getting an alignment with it. So not bad. I`m not often defeated working on my truck but those damn bolts kicked my butt. I`m going to be real sore tomorrow. I`ll be glad when its done tomorrow. I`ll post pictures later

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Earlier I lied about no more gauge videos. Here's yet another video about gauges. @CRayFJ asked about disassembling the gauges. Here's the video. Had the content but didn't process it before. Shout out to the original led replacement thread.
