Built a mount to install both a CB, and GMRS radio in the empty space under my rear plastics.

Clever!! Thatís a great idea. I donít have a CB or radio, but if I ever get one, Iíd want it tucked out of the way. This is awesome.

For any and all detailing supplies check out - https://www.autopia-carcare.com/

Autopia was a detailing forum (pretty much the ultimate detailing forum) before they bought properautocare and started selling stuff. The forum is a good resource. Probably a little more hardcore than most offroaders are, but there's still plenty of good info.

There are tons of cleaner waxes (polish/wax combination) out there.

Noticed one of my rear sway bar links was missing a nut... so, naturally, I just removed the whole rear sway bar.

No bueno if you have an inverter, I'd prefer to put something else there anyway though since I never use mine!

Very neat!

I did a similar, but much less tidy, install for my Ham radio in the jack compartment mounted up under the wheel arch. As my panels are blocked by the dog cage and shelf I ran the programmin USB up and out by the pillar.

If you have an inverter you don't use, there's already a convenient power wire run to there as well as a good ground. . .

I just have a cheap little inverter that plugs into the 12v blue sea outlet I wired in back there that I keep in my laptop bag since that's all I ever use it for.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Mounted my Hi-lift, got some new tires on her, and got some quick connect jumper cables mounted. I couldn't see any way to run the cables to the front without punching a hole in the grill so I coiled them up in front of the battery.

Yes youíre right. I used mine once to make coffee on my Keurig when the power was out for too long..it was the slowest cup of coffee that it ever made

There are quite a lot of options to run cables out to the front without making holes. . I ran the winch cables down below the headlight, from here you could mount the Anderson plug to the top of the bumper very neatly. the trans cooler pipes slotted in besides the headlight too without new holes.
