I was thinking of getting black/yellow “Rare FJ” then decided against it

I want to have one car in stable with no vanity - tired of giving the imbeciles at dmv money
I here you. Here it's MVD, Motor Vehicle Division. But after waiting sometimes 3 hours, they finally call my number. I was getting the new chile pepper plates. There is a $5 fee per transaction. So $5 for the plates and another $5 to renew the registration on top of the standard fees.

The line of people turned on them once. I had to take my skills test for the motorcycle endorsement. I arrived 45 minutes early. By the time I got to where they give a number it was after my appointment time. She told me that I'd have to reschedule as I was late. The line of people behind me torn into her, as they'd been waiting 45 minutes + too.

And to renew registration online has a $5 fee, plus the credit card fee.

I hear ya. I think that I will regret this less than my last one.
Took the effort to pre-order a random, black & yellow for my '64 Benz while California was still mulling the re-issue of the historical plate combos. Finally got the new plate after I had already decided to sell the car. Only drove it once with the period-correct (look) plate.

"Rare FJ" would have been both cool and appropriate.

So late last night after two weeks of being immobilized I finally was able to get my headlights back together and test everything. I still have to align the beams before I take it out for a drive but everything seems to be functioning perfectly with the new demon eyes, halos, and warmer zeon bulbs.

Apologies for the crappy pic, my 6S is woeful at taking quality photos.

I’ve got a sore set of headlights just gotta get off my butt to do the same, did you piece it all together or get a kit from TRS? Great job!!!

She got a bath today. Cooking up ways to cover up the hole when I remove the inclinometer cluster/ system though.

I ordered a complete kit from TRS, I’ve experienced some hiccups along the way with my RGB halls but they were brand new systems both times so they had bugs to work out and I was unfortunate enough to receive problematic sets. I should’ve taken more time to document my rebuilding this time around but I simply didn’t have the time. Check out the HID thread to see my original build if you like, Darkhorse really had a very informative build thread he created.

Thanks for the compliment! They really look much better in person, the photos wash out if I brighten the halos at all.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

So I grabbed "I'm done talking" and started transforming the front bumper and ended up having to stop mid way through the first cut.

My garage is to small, its a tandem. 1 car wide but 2 cars deep. "I'm done Talking" was shooting and insane amount of sparks into places I did not want. don't need damage or flames.

So I packed up, drove to work, parked out back on the concrete pad and recommenced cutting.

Still needs some final grinding and repaint - once done I will post the final results.

Haven't decided whether to keep the 2 lights or swap over to 4. 4 means more mild fab work to which I am not opposed.
