Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Put on a new passenger CV axle. Surprisingly one of the easiest things I have done on the truck. Stupid simple. Only thing I noticed was the seal on the knuckle was not looking too great and the little metal-spring-band had come off. It will probably cost me a wheel bearing, but I have just left it off for now since I didnt have a replacement seal :/

I had blown the inner boot on vacation. With 5-600 miles left to go and having to drive it miles up and down the beach I felt like I needed to get something back on it to keep sand out. Ended up grabbing a split boot that bolted together. It held just fine, even though it kept slinging grease little by little.

My new rear shocks arrived. But I won't be installing them today. It's snowing hard. I don't know where that came from, rain was predicted.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

So after taking advantage of the 40% off TRD sale, I had my TRD Catback installed. The sad part was the tip was chrome. Well...not anymore. While I was at it, I went ahead and blacked out the rear valence. It obviously doesn't match the rest of the bumper, but it will do for me...

Got the 265's on with 2" spacers and the spare tire delete bolted on. I should have gone with 1.25" spacers. Don't mind the dust, rained on the way home from work.
One think to further enhance the look might be to get some black vinyl and cover that blue arc that is left over above that delete piece

I'm not sure why they they left the cover flat on top. It does increase visibility but they could've rounded it off without hindering visibility.

Unfortunately the sale had already passed...I think it was in April.

Couldnít stand it any longer. Had to pull the battery and go after the corrosion with baking soda and water. Then a fresh coat of rustolium. Iím happy now.
