@JamesP oop nice solution....but does that block half the bass??
Whatever bass is present, I'm pretty sure it's not helping I'm going to build my next storage box. This box I got from one of the guys (@modwizard?)here has done it's job for the past couple years. It was always a temp solution.

My fridge blocks the sub completely now but it hasnít affected the sound very much at all.
Thanks for confirming. I think low end resonance is easier to distinguish so even with no space, you can still bump it. I only cover it on trips so no issue here either.

This is how it currently fits, sounds great in fact it sounds pure to me. Without the fridge I can sense a bit of mids slipping in with the sub, Iím listening to Pearl Jamís Black right now which over Pandora can sound a bit sloppy at times but itís bass drops are perfect now. Another funny side affect is the mirrors all seem to vibrate more vigorously than before, I know that sounds weird but I believe as you said thereís something to be said for resonance. I guess Iíll have to see if it changes when itís full of beer and food.

Yeah I know it doesnít last, but itís handy and easy to squirt into small places & frame holes. Had not heard of the Amsoil Metal Protector - is it spray on? Any special prep needed?

Yes it's spray on, smells pretty potent at first but is to be expected. I try to wipe down the exhaust from overspray before I drive it but you don't have to. Not really any other prep work than cleaning up the area first.

You feel it adheres well and lasts a long time?

Finished Scuba Mod, wash and wax done. Stuffed that pesky Toyota hole on the driver's seat and installed another seat cover (hole in it, imagine that.) Cleaned the interior some, more to do as always.

Changed the oil and lubed up the zerks. I'm sure its just in my head but the FJ seems to be running smoother.

New XS Power battery and Sky High Car Audio terminals. You never realize just how dirty your engine bay is until you put something new in there
