@jamesepoop What's the brand and/or technical name of those Velcro straps holding the tools to the rear door rack?

Thanks!

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Finished grinding the left over nubs and weld from the hoops and stinger I cut off. Also means I had to re-strip the bumper and paint it so everything looks nice, clean and even.

Once the paint was done the bumper looked good....rest of the FJ not so much so time for a full on hand wash, claybar and power polish.

Mid power polish pause sitting in the cool garage looking at the FJ and quick snap of it finished.

Will get a decent pic of the teenager outdoors today.

Hook and loop? Lol. Here's the kit I got. Cheap and a decent amount of them for my needs.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

finally got around to installing the "us off road" back-up camera/spare tire mount cover. stock mount was pretty beat up and all scratched up from over the years of either me or service guys not being careful when placing the spare back on. the us off road piece is pretty heavy duty, i got it powder coated. i think because of the powder coating, the holes seemed to be just a tad too small to easily fit over the 3 lugs. was going to grind open the holes a little, but was able to work the cover on with a little effort. it has a nice finish. obviously not scratch-proof! the instructions stated to leave this cardboard cover that was provided on the mount as protection when mounting the spare, then sliding it off after. however the cardboard kept crinkling up and getting jammed in there - basically wasn't enough room to get this to work. i just gave up, and as long as you're very careful, you won't damage the finish. they also provide a t-bar that can be attached under the front plate that can be used to mount aux lights, etc.

a tip that recently started to do when putting the spare back on is to use an old cloth or sheet to cover around the tire. i actually bought a cheap round table cloth on amazon (70" round works great) and cut like a 6" hole in the center to be able to see where where to mount. that way i'm able to really wrap my arms around the tire and not get filthy dirty.

Hey, cool terminal plate. Could you tell me what it's made from? Doesn't specify on their website. Thanks

I got the aluminum terminals. They make copper ones but they are a bit too spendy for me.
