Some of yíall might find this odd since most people change out the OEM head unit for an aftermarket screen.

When I bought the FJ it had an aftermarket screen in it (kenwood ddx477bh). I have an iPhone and this is an android audio unit, so I didnít care for how it worked and couldnít use the features.

I got on eBay and found a used OEM stereo head unit and swapped it out this evening.

Also, my wife really liked the look of the white stereo surround, so I bought one of those off eBay as well and replaced it while I replaced the head unit.

Now I wish I could find the white panels for the doors to switch our, but after a little research apparently they arenít available.
Due to the way the pictures oriented, I thought you went from stock unit and white trim to upgraded and black. Had to read it twice lol

Agree with Baz, white vinyl is the way to go, I added some vinyl to my plain black plastic panels and considering swapping it out for white
How does the glossy wrap look on the pebble finished panels?

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Seeing as I was so satisfied with the way my wheels turned out, I decided to plastidip my front grill today too. Took a bit longer than I expected, trying to get an even coat over everything with all the different angles, and tiny nooks and crannies.
I opted to black out the TOYOTA on front. I know some people tape it off and leave it so it pops more, but I like the all black and white look better, so having the silver accent wasn't for me. I'm not bothering with the bumper flares, because I hope to eventually replace the bumper.

Also put another coat of Mothers Back to Black on while I was waiting around. That stuff works miracles I tells ya!

Gday,
Looks great..
You can always paint them, or vinyl wrap the door inserts...
Cheers

I’ll look into that! Do y’all think plastidip would work on them as well?

Got the better halfís 4-Runner windows tinted and figured what the hell Iíll go ahead and get mine done as well. Iíve heard people hype the ceramic tint but itís pretty amazing youíve experienced it, thereís just no heat getting through it. It made an an instant difference in the 4-Runner.

2007 FJ. Had been getting a leak during heavy rain storms. Finally investigated & I believe the cause was the roof seams’ adhesive/glue had dry rotted & cracked.

Removed roof rack & cleaned out gutters, applied a layer of rubber silicone down the length of the roof. Had did this to both sides.

24hrs to cure! Then will test for leaks again prior to putting rack back on

I've got all of my windows ceramic. Haven't done my windshield yet because of the giant crack in it but I do notice the heat coming thru when driving with the sun coming thru the windshield!
