A spring loaded center punch helps.
Used one of those for the first time today.

I keep one in the FJ right beside valve stem core removal tool.

excellent for breaching car windows in an emergency... ('cuz I'm NOT paranoid)

Never thought of using it to breach a car window in an emergency.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Got to make some more progress on the drawers.

Got the latches in but the drawers are just a little too wide. Thatís the last time I measure four or five times. Iím just going to wing it from now on. I plan on running them through the table saw to countersink (sort of) the slides so it fits. I figure once it gets painted and covered all of my mistakes will be hidden.

I also got the hidden hinges put in for the cubby hole. Ended up eyeballing where to put them and how deep to make the countersink. Worked much better.

Just got back from getting the FJ smogged. It pasted with flying colors just like I knew it would. 13 years old and still clean as a whistle

Finally got a rear skid plate! This has been sitting in my eBay watch list for 2 years. Finally satisfied with my current setup. (For now)
