Ah now I see what you meant when you said it blew up on you! The job did but not the actual equipment.
It's been whining and leaking from one of the feed hose and TBH I looked on the outside of the reservoir and it has the outline of burnt/caked fluid so I was thinking all good but open it up and it's low on fluid on the inside. I'm not sure that's the case with everyone else's reservoir, so I'm hoping it was a good time to do it now. Upon drain, at least, it looks like it was changed sometime with not too much metallic. By the end of the flush, it was nice and clear.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I tried to get her washed at the local car wash and was refused. Apparently, last time the brushes got stuck in the bumper and they had to restart the washer and push it through. Odd, since it's been fine at the same car wash for the last 9 years.

Dropped the headliner and installed a President McKinley CB, and also made some more progress on the air setup. I managed to run both 4ga wires wrapped in heavy loom all the way through the inside of the drivers side framerail, also mounted the relay and finished the switch wiring.
Next is the tank setup, plumbing, and then skid/cover plates.

The "chrome" film pulled right off mine. I used an exacto knife blade to lift a piece and it pulled right off. Did you try that at all?

It was still warping when I took the picture. Its coming off quite nicely and not too strong that it'll melt the plastic. I use this paint stripper for restoring shoes.

Funny, I tried that today too, but with different results. The clear coat came off fine, but not the base coat, or whatever that is. Two more applications of Aircraft paint remover didn't do anything.

How come all of you clean and detail your trucks and then take them and play in the dirt for a week?.....You do off road them right? I would do all the detailing after you get back from wheeling
