How come all of you clean and detail your trucks and then take them and play in the dirt for a week?.....You do off road them right? I would do all the detailing after you get back from wheeling
It's so much easier to clean if the FJ was clean to begin with.

Made SS tank mount brackets, welded them to the truck, mounted the tank, and began plumbing.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I checked the tranny oil level, it was correct. Then I updated the frequency presets in the ham radio. I added the national UHF simplex. It gets frustrating, it normally takes 3-4 attempts to get it to accept the new stuff. It gets partway through and gives an error that something has timed out.

I am sweating like a (?). The humidity is only 17-20%. I could use a break up in the mountains to cool off.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I've had this UltraScan EM for years, and never installed it because it is really meant for geeks and like that. But yesterday my wife said she wouldn't drive the FJ because I installed an instrument cluster face that is in KPH. Apparently, she has lost her multiplication skills or is just not willing to convert on the fly. So I installed the UltraScan high on the left side right under the air outlet, and "programmed" it (pushed buttons willy-nilly until the right stuff came up) so she has MPH as well as MPG right there in a digital display. I will test it for accuracy against a GPS unit on the way to Fairbanks tomorrow. It will take a few days because, of course, Denali National Park.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Hey there, new to the forum and FJ's. Added some electronics to my new to me '08.

Alpine media player deck (keeping the JBL speakers for now)

The single USB port is for the connection to the deck, the double is power only, one of which is a quick charge:

And added a backup camera. popped off the center cab on the spare, and attached it to the spare tire mount. This way I get a good center view to line up my trailer:

Finally got the FJ the AJT Key and I really like it. It is not as big as some pictures make it.

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

Took it to Discount Tire for balance and rotation. I was getting a bit of a twitch in the steering wheel at the standard speed for this. All is good now.

When I got there, there were two other people already in the parking lot waiting for the store to open. We all moved up to the benches by the door. Then other people showed up and stood right in front of the door thinking that they would be first. When the door was unlocked those that were there before simply pushed them out of the way. Cutting the line was not allowed.

Washed it. It was hot AF, and it has water spots on it, but it's a huge improvement on the coating of dust that was on it...
