@Shazzam15 did you try professionally buffing it out? Sounds like you ended up painting it?

Looks good either way!

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I love my Hell*****, but Toyo did a few things very wrong for serious offroaders.

Mainly, all the stupid plastic clips that hold the plastic bits on. Screws would have been a lot better, bolts even. I don't mind it if the pieces stay on.

My cowl pieces are officially AMF!

I got my new Firestik 2m antenna on with tougher mount and spring, in between thunderstorms. Hopefully branch-proofed enough to roll...

Re: What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?

I just got back from my buddies house, where we did a brake job on my FJ. I replaced the front rotors and pads, and the rear pads. My FJ has 128,000+ miles. It had 115,000 when I bought it. It looked like the pads had been replaced before and still had a little bit of life to them, but the rotors looked like they may have been original. The front rotors had warped a bit, so that's why I changed them, also they were to cheap not to. We also flushed all the fluid and man did it need it. The old fluid that came out of the fronts, was just a bit dark and not horrible, looking, but not good. The fluid that came out of the back, was down right nasty. It was dark and milky. Good news is the slight vibration in the front is gone, and I now have great brakes.

Replaced the weather striping on the rear driver and passenger doors. they were starting to crack and fall apart. took all of 10 minutes.

I give up on trying to rotate can not get it to load no matter what I try LOL.

Hey @Iconic_ no amount of buffing would fix the bent metal
I ended up letting the insurance catch the bill... ended up with a spare pair of wheels to boot

First post in this thread but looking forward to posting many more .What did you do TO your FJ Cruiser TODAY?-6f6fd85b-76cb-4112-8c81-d64288b14eda_1568849578587.jpg
Added a Sony Xav-712Hd head unit to my FJ. Only head unit I’ve seen with a built in HDMI port . Seen maybe a few Kenwood but you’d think this would be standard now. Also have a PlayStation Vita Tv running off it... picture quality is incredible over hdmi way better then composite cables.

Side note need some help from you guys I’m looking to add the rear speakers to my fj. I’ve seen the speaker grilles and the mounts is that all I need? Can someone with a 9 speaker fj verify?

Also anyone know what these parts are and where I can get them? I’ve looked online but can’t seem to locate these too I’m prolly just missing them or don’t know the correct term

The faux button covers under the radio and the cover that goes over the rear brake light assembly on the inside ? I’m sure the install guy lost it... and I know he cut up my faux button to run the hdmi cable through... like why would I want it there I can’t put anything there that’s where the shifters are smh.

Pics below I think

Also looking to add a complete Sony gs series component speaker set anyone have opinions on component speakers vs coaxial? From what I understand component gives better sound separation... I’m not looking to beat the block just want super clear audio.. and I know some may think Sony is not the best but I enjoy their products and my ocd won’t let me buy another brand I want the whole sound system one brand all the way through
