Not off-roading, but a different kind of adventure:

We drove our son to MEPS in the FJ. He was set to start university this fall, but after weighing his options for the past two years, he ultimately decided that he'd enjoy civilian life much less than military life. He'll be enlisted in the Air Force later today. We're very proud of him and his decision to serve.

Not my FJ, but while visiting my brother in Fairbanks last week, we took his FJ up to the Arctic Circle.

A little springtime “farm” work - towed all the kayak stuff from the barn to the pond - water is still ice cold though...

The lake near my place is warmed by the power plant. It’s warm even in the winter.

Nice! Best of luck to him. Any idea of what he will be doing?

Joining the military was the best move of my life.

Thank you for your service. Glad that it worked out so well for you. I know that it's not for everyone.

He's aiming for scientific applications, computer security, cryptography, or drone recon, probably in that order. He qualified for everything, and may have his pick. We'll find out soon.

Throughout my life, most of my strongest connections have been with military or veterans. I figured out too late that it would've been perfect for me, but at least I was able to help my son to figure it out earlier.

Narrowly avoided ‘branding’ the door of an Audi A3 with a Toyota logo... as if I’m not big enough to see

Stupid woman pulled straight out of a side turning, luckily in a 30mph zone, in a 60 she and we, would have been toast...

Broke 400miles per tank. 70 of it on the low fuel light. (I decided to top off the tank with a little extra on the last fill up.)

Stock 2007 minus AEM filter and scuba mod.
