Today I went on a field trip . I ran up to Bend to check out some stuff . 1st stop CVT. Really cool store . Then I ran over to Free Spirit , Another really cool store . Seen this guy and figured it was time to go home . Of coarse I would hit another snowstorm. Stopped at a lake to sit on a rock to think about some things. And that was my day

As promised... here are a few photos from the Cruise Moab Lockhart Basin Pre-Run with Wasatch Cruisers last weekend. @debFJVT I included a couple shots of the wash obstacle just for you.

@shrdnar beautiful pics!! And that obstacle is significantly more eroded, so I can see how it would be a challenging ascent. Looking forward to it!

I discovered another water leak.... Love my FJ, but this is water intrusion #4 .

#1 . bad seal/install when windshield replaced.

#2 . leaking from clips that screw into roof that secured top windshield trim.

#3 . Roof rack

#4 . ??? Looks like #2 's pattern. Have to dig in at some point. May just wait till it warms up more and pull the headliner and do a little sound deadening while leak discovering.

Given my drive way and it's a slight incline I think it's coming from a body seam or one of the body clips for the trim molding. However they are newer and put some sealant around them too. Don't wanna try to pull the trim off and break a clip requiring a new molding which I would have to then get lined.

Oh no hope it didnít hurt your amazing patch collection! Pulling the headliner down in the corner is easy - you donít have to take off the entire thing. I found the source of my leak by lining the suspect area with fresh paper towels, waiting for rain (guess you could spray with hose) and looking for evidence of water on the towels. GL!

Drove to Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierras for some snow driving, snowshoeing, and snow skiing. Half the fun is getting there. Drove through a Southern California desert superbloom and some easy trails along the way. Lots of butterflies on my windshield. More pix later.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

Went over to my brothers and took the 13TT out after dark to see how the Rigid 28" SR PRO Flood Spot Combo light bar works.

Head Lights low beam

Head Lights low plus light bar

not the best photos will play with the adjustment of the light bar a little more.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

This past Saturday CruiserGear posted up about a scavenger hunt where Blake left a goodie box near the south end of Utah Lake at the base of West Mountain where a lot of folks go shooting and stuff. I saw it on social media and right after work decided to go find it. Unfortunately someone had already beaten me to it, but I then just off-roaded around the area on West Mountain and had a good time! Met some nice folks who were in a Jeep and they decided to take the normal dirt road that winds up the mountain. Meanwhile I noticed a trail that looked steep but takes you straight up the mountain... so I went that way! In my mind I was racing the Jeep to the top but they didn't realize it. I definitely had to go into 4Lo to do this climb and it would have been a whole lot smoother and easier had I aired down, but with the aid of A-TRAC and the rear locker at one point, I flew up the mountain as quick as possible and when they got to the top the Jeep folks were so confused on how I could've gotten there since last they saw me, I was behind them!

Fun times were had. There was a snow drift still across the road that prevented us from getting to the very top. I tried to drive through but it was to thick and slippery, and with it being on a precarious slope, I opted out of gunning it. The Jeep folks decided to try it since I offered to help if they got stuck. Well they didn't get stuck necessarily but I did get to use the winch to rescue them from almost sliding off the mountain!

It was a beautiful evening and the sunset was awesome! Need to go up there again!
