Enjoyed the beauty of the Pacific North West with the FJ this morning. And then met up with a fellow FJ enthusiast Supasta to trade goods. Very cool guy.

Went to see the ladies out at the ranch, played in the mud/pond and picked up some pig food. Just a normal Sunday.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

Scout and I got another short camping trip in this weekend. Didn't really get much in the way of pictures because our first spot was pretty unexciting (and loud). Our second spot was much nicer and more secluded, but by the time we got set up, it was after midnight and we went straight to bed. Either way, the FJ and rooftop tent combo is an absolutely amazing setup for camping and getting away for a weekend... or more!

Went on a family camping trip to Green Valley Lake this past weekend for Father's day. Took the FJ out to explore beyond where we hiked and cut my teeth on my first real "wheeling" experience. My offroading is usually limited to fireroads and the beach. Anyways, I went on a short run called Edison Rd which got progressively more technical than I expected. I walked the obstacle areas, picked a line and tire placement, and went slow. I believe the Atrac activated in one spot. Didn't get a photo of the most challenging part of manuevering around a boulder with an off-camber approach while avoiding the large rut below. Too busy driving and passengers too worried about their own safety . We survived but the FJ took home a bunch of pinstripes . As a newb, I'm glad I did it but probably won't try that again flying solo.
I just live down the highway a bit from green valley lake. Lots and lots of trails to do up here. From mild to throw your FJ in the dumpster its done <img src="https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
I agree it's a great area. The next time I'm able to get up there again, I may have to hit you up for some local tips.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

FJ has spent the last two weekends parked in the shop while I was out with a couple of our work builds doing shows and shakedown runs.

Had to get some "product testing" done. It's a hard job sometimes but I have to pay for the FJ somehow.

Truth be told as much as I love some of the rigs I get to drive the FJ still feels like home when I get back in it.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

Took it for our monthly drive to Durango CO to see my doctor. It's about 1 hour each way. I had the AC off and windows down for a bit after I got to about 7000 feet. I left the pooch home as it would be too warm for her to stay in the FJ while I was doing my thing.

So today we came home from our camping trip. We wish it could of been longer but we had a great time.
We drove up from graham Wa, to san juan island. We loved the trip the ferry is always a little sketchy and Not cheap 275.00 for round trip for 2 people with fj and 17ft trailer. But the fj did great. I installed the tranny cooler and had no issues. Most of my relatives from way back came from san juan island and my 3rd great grandfather was the first sheriff in san juan territory before WA was a state. Great to learn more while we were their.

Re: What did you do WITH your FJ today, Take 2...

My wife and I went for a trail ride today. We decided to go check out a trail we do a lot but haven`t been there since before winter. A lot of out local trails got tore up pretty good this winter with all the rain we got. The trail we decided to do today is called Pilot Rock. When we got there we were surprised to find that a bulldozer had flattened the trail a lot. So it was easy peasy to do. All the side challenges were still a lot of fun but the main trail I believe a electric smart car could do. Anyway we had a great time and are looking forward to the next trail ( probly next weekend ). Here are a few pictures of the trail.
