Color, can't make up my mind!

I placed my order for "Titanium Metallic". I saw a voodoo one yesterday and thought it looked good. I can't decide if I should change my mind or not. All you guys and gals out there with the Titanium Metallic, is it realy metalic? Does it have a nice depth, sparkle, ect...? Please help.

Re: Color, can't make up my mind!

I LOVE the depth and underlying colors on my Black Diamond! Really cool, but it is a pain to keep sharp all the time. I saw a VB the other day and it was much sharper than I thought. I have never seen I silver so I cannot comment.

Re: Color, can't make up my mind!

All five of the first year colors are better in real life than can be captured by a photograph, IMO. I haven't ordered yet, but Voodoo Blue and Titanium Metallic are my top two choices. The roof on all models is white and the oval around the headlights is silver. The roof is totally retro, but the front oval was white on the FJ40. The lack of color contract between the body and oval is the one drawback (as I see it) for the Titanium. However, the black fender liners and rock rails really look nice with the Titanium. If I keep procrastinating about my purchase, maybe the color I really want will be offered - Forest Green. Sorry to ramble.

“Kansas Law Dog” for admiration of “Tombstone”, the movie, and the legend of Wyatt Earp.

Re: Color, can't make up my mind!

I was sold on a black FJ from pics. Then I went and looked over all the colors face to face. The black FJ looks like it should have police lights on it so I am going to pass on that color.

The other colors such as yellow, blue, and that dark plum color are nice looking but not for me.

After looking them all over I was VERY surprised that I picked out the silver over all the rest.

I love my silver...the metallic paint is beautiful in the sun. I think it's the best color, personally...

Re: Color, can't make up my mind!

This will probably make your decision harder. IMO, Only the blue, yellow, and BC look really vibrant. They stand out and have a lot of "pop" to them. Maybe b/c they are sorta of nontraditional color in nature. What I mean
Silver and Black look matte to me. Black does have specks of green in it that show up in bright sun, but you have to be close to see them.

My 1st choice was blue, but couldn't wait for 1 without the rack, so I got black. The GM at a local dealership is an FJ fanatic himself and said that Blue was harder to keep clean than black.

Anyways, you'll be happy with any color b/c it's an FJ. My favorite is Tan anway, that isn't avail now. If I get too many scratches within the year, I'll probably take the plunge and have it repaint tan.

The silver is beautiful and will hide dirt nicely. I chose VB as it is more "fun".

Re: Color, can't make up my mind!

The silver tastes best in my opinion, but all the colors are perfrect. I had a couple ask if my silver FJ costs more than a top of the line landcruiser. Told them the MSRP, jaws dropped, uncomfortable pause, walk away...

If you get the black, paint the oval white so the rest of us can see what it looks like.

I had the same problem! - first placed order for yellow, but after seeing it , found it was way too flashy (for me anyway) liked the black cherry , but thought it would be high maintenance to keep clean so picked silver - and am really glad we did!! - doesn't show the dust and is a classic color which will always be pleasing to the eye!
