Funny though, I get out of my Fj and first thing I say:

Me: Are you ok??

Her: with phone in hand yells out "LOOK AT MY CAR"- then starts to cry.
She got off lucky. There are a lot of posts on here of FJs getting rear ended and usually the other car looks like a crushed beer can.

Some little girl was driving her new mini, and decided to test the integrity of the stock rear bumper. I was waiting for light, she was going 30 mph.

Should I be concerned about frame damage ?
Glad everyone is ok. And I dig the Larue sticker. Got a bunch myself.

If I quit buying things from that sticker company, I could afford to do a nice bumper, winch, and ither cool FJ things.

thats because the phone was in her hand and she was looking at it when she plowed into you.
Thats my guess. Gotta say those mini's are build like small tanks, she was able to drive away with no issues.

No matter how small the impact, I would report it to the insurance and get the Fj checked out by a reputable body shop. You never know what lies under the plastic or might occur down the road. Better safe than sorry. Just my 2 cents.

It's funny how you can see the imprint of your rear hitch on her bumper right above the license plate Hope all is well with your FJ or better yet, you might have an excuse to buy a slick rear bumper!

Haha! Had this same thing happen with my 2nd gen Taco (before the FJ) and I could see the Toyota emblem embedded in the hood of her vehicle

If she was on her phone I kind of wish you already had the steel bumper, is that terrible of me?

Re: Mini cooper vs. stock rear bumper

Biff, I believe you are the only person that has ever existed in the history of our planet (and in fact our entire solar system) that has put the words "Mini" and "Tank" in the same sentence, unless the reference was to something like "A Mini hit my tank (reference to your FJ)" or "Did you see that tank drive right over that Mini?"

Glad no one was hurt!
