I got inspired and ordered a new key from Car and Truck remotes. It say's it's compatible and it looks the same as the one in my pocket. Have high hopes this will work without help from Toyota. The one I got from them cost an arm and leg and most of my liver.

Looks like the same key I got. Hope it works for you too. Good luck!

Re: What did you buy today (FJ related items)?

I threw my FOB away and disconnected the wiring after the 4th time they got into her. Now she has normal locks and a hidden ignition disconnect switch. Alarms suck - you have to be awake and nearby or your ride is toast. The disconnect means they have to tow it away.

The FOB is the easiest way to get into your FJ for crooks - they love FOBs!

And btw - GET OFF MY LAWN!

Whoo Hoo!! Headlights came in! Guess what I’m doing this weekend!
Which lights are those? Can you post the link?
This is what I got:

Pair Black Housing C-Styling LED DRL Front Driving Headlight Lamp for Toyota FJ Cr... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R92J8WV..._KblQDbW5ANXN3

After further inspection, I’d recommend you wait until I successfully get mine installed.

It looks like the mounting points are ok. But it’s just a bucket with a big hole in the back where the bulb is supposed to go. No bulb, and no “bulb holding mechanism” at all. I’m just hoping I can transfer the guts from my existing lights.

Fortunately Amazon has an awesome return policy If these don’t work out. I’ll get my money back and try again with something else. There’s at least one more seller with something that looks a bit different

The longest living winch company you've never heard of. Last I heard we are the highest volume ComeUp dealer in the country. They are a great winch. We probably install a couple a week on average and I've only seen one that had a problem in the past year. Bad control box at install, swapped it out and had replacement parts from ComeUp the next day.

They are also now the official winch for the Colorado AEV Bison.
