Cool 1 year of ownership...

Hey guys, I purchased my 2008 Brick Red in June of last year. At that time it had just under 46k miles on it and currently it is sitting right above 61k miles on it. I hit 60k this last weekend on my trip to Moab which was a blast. That was about 2500 miles round trip from Oregon where I live. In the last year the FJ has taken me on many adventures and I hope to be able to go on many more. Just out of curiosity, how many miles are you putting on your per year, on average?

My FJ is also my daily driver but I don't work very far from home. But 15k per year will most likely be pretty typical for me unless I end up getting a cheap DD down the road.

Re: 1 year of ownership...

Well I've just gone over 10,000 miles as I did only use my FJ for trips out, but this last couple of weeks it's been my work truck so covered nearly 1,000 in three weeks.

I bought my 07 almost a year and a half ago with 32k mi... It's sitting at 63k mi now. It's my dd. I got rid of my sensible life draining gas saver for something I love..

In my 11th year of ownership!
240K logged on 3 FJ's owned during that period.
My TTUE has just tripped over 41K!
The TTUE is the best and last year of the FJ, IMHO!
I still admire it as I walk away from it in the parking lot- thats love!!....gm

Re: 1 year of ownership...

Congrats! I just passed one year in my 2008. It had 49K miles on it when I bought it, 53K now, yeah I don't drive that much, but the FJ is my DD. Same story as some of you, got rid of my 2010 Prius for something with soul. The FJ is definitely the cure.

I'm doing 3-4K miles/year on the FJ, but we only use it for snow days and going to the mountains. If you love your FJ and want it to last forever, retire it from DD duty and kill a Civic / Corolla with the daily miles instead.
