We will have to test Fit one of Deb or My wheels on your FJ to see if 16s will fit .
We could try Deb's 16's. I don't think they will fit though.

Your OE wheels fitting fine over them with the Spidertrax spacers?
Yep, the 17" alloy wheels. Pretty sure they would fit without the wheel spacers also.

So did they make the "kit" for you or did you tell them the parts you wanted and has it been tested on an FJ?
RR racing has had the kit out for at least a year now. I just bought it about a week ago. It uses standard "off the shelf" Wilwood calipers and RR racing supplies the brake line adaptors, caliper brackets, instructions, support and engineering to fit them on our Toyotas.

Didn't know about it, otherwise I would have.

Nice! Thank you. Don't know if I'm going to get in on this group buy or not. acquiring the property adjacent to us and want Minn Kota salt water Ulterra for the boat along with a full $2k Seadek kit. It's only money right?

And this would be for the Wife's 2014 Trail 4Runner anyway.

What are the "brake line adapters"? Sounds like another place for a leak and dedicated brake lines would be better.

The calipers are ported NPT. The adaptor fittings are stainless and go to metric flare for the brake lines.

Re: Another BIG Brake Kit Option BBK OMG!

Thanks for sharing that @Iconic_ and answering all the questions. You're the real MVP! Width wise, I should have asked you to snap a picture with the wheel spacer off hah, but you think the Wilwoods would fit behind the stock OE spokes? Several people asked and I'm 99% sure they'll fit as there's plenty of clearance behind the spokes with the OE calipers wheels, but I don't have the 4r calipers.
@Loganbeere , I had to e-mail the vendor about the dust seal upgrade. It's not on their website so I don't think people were aware of the option unless they searched it on Wilwood.

I'm also 99% sure it will fit without a spacer. The spokes seem to be plenty far away. The barrel tapers a tiny bit I think so it will be close there no doubt. If someone absolutely had to they could probably grind a little off the corners of the caliper too. Depending on where the balance weights are at they may need moved also.

Re: Another BIG Brake Kit Option BBK OMG!

James, I am interested but need more information. Can you detail what I would need to convert from a ‘08 stock FJ, 17” SCS F5 wheels... with all the most preferred upgrades to a BBK setup (external dust seals, stainless brake lines, caliper upgrade sizing). Feel like I may be going down the rabbit-hole to jump in on just the piston GB setup.
Many thanks!
