Re: Mountain goat jumps on hood of FJ on Mount Evans

This was the group cover photo on Colorado FJ Cruisers for about a week

For those of you who haven't been on Mt. Evans, it's a 14,000+ foot peak about half an hour west of Denver in the Rocky Mountains. The road is paved all the way to the top to drive up, and on a 90+ degree July day in town the temp up on Mt. Evans will be in the 40's.

Re: Mountain goat jumps on hood of FJ on Mount Evans

Mount Evans is the highest paved road in North America. There are a group of mountain goats at the top who aren't afraid of people. They often stand next to the road and lick salt off of cars if you stop to take pictures of them.

Ouch on the hood. I wonder if the hood looked like hail damage?

There are some scars you don't buff out because of the story behind them. I think that would be one of them.

Another good reason to lift your FJ.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has caused all the damage to my FJ.
