FJ featured on CNBC

I looked around but did not see any other posting of this video. I particularly like the footage of the lion hanging out on the roof at the 0:51 minute mark

Nice find. It does have a very loyal group of followers. All you have to do is drive one to get it.

Re: FJ featured on CNBC

Super low sales volume killed the FJ. 2008 crisis? see the Wrangler. Toyota is a very slow turning ship in terms of updates. There is no way they can come up with another FJ cruiser (unfortunately). It's over. They are focused on the 4Runner, which is almost 10 years old without any innovation.. Toyota needs to step it up.

Why should they? 4Runner sales are better than they ever have been. 139,694 sold in 2018.

Re: FJ featured on CNBC

So I should sell mine in the middle east and then buy another? Or two? Hmm....

Hence the focus on it with all the pent up demand for SUV's; I'd just like to see something new from Toyota, especially with the Bronco around the corner.

With the additions of the Honda Passport and Kia Telluride it'll definitely take a bit out of 2019 4Runner sales.

Re: FJ featured on CNBC

While it would be interesting to see what Toyota would come up with for a new gen 4Runner, there is something to be said for a proven, reliable drivetrain and rugged ladder frame SUV.

Of course, if gasoline prices rise that proven, reliable drivetrain suddenly becomes a big liability due to poor gas mileage. Look at 2009, only 19,675 were sold in the heart of the recession.

My kid used to play GTA. This rendition was what they used.
