Move Hood Latch

I own a 6MT and whenever I wear my boots I have to take them off before I drive because I will pull the hood release latch with the lip of the boots. It's a real pain.

I think if you put some oil drops on it then it will work properly.
Is it me, or does this make no sense?

Not totally sure what that means either...back to the OP....How? Are you wearing big chunky boots? My only other thought is maybe you are of the shorter stature, which requires the seat to be all the way forward, which in turn makes your legs go right up to the bottom of the dashboard.

Maybe install a little brace that keeps the latch from being pulled?

Good Luck!

Go with a rounded toe? After adding a few drops of oil! WTF that means?

Re: Move Hood Latch

I have the Lacrosse work boot and the lip is tall and it just perfectly pull the latch up every single time I pull out the clutch. I think I will make a little cover for it!
